Reflecting on February

I'm writing this blog post a little earlier than I would usually do I guess its because February is a short month even though this year its Leap Year. I cannot believe we are coming to the end of February all ready, I know I mentioned about how fast the year was going last month but I mean where are the weeks going? I don't know about you all but for me they are flying by. Last weekend it was #Valentines and soon its going to be March which means Mothers Day and so many family birthdays then Easter! Its beyond crazy. I hope you are all having a lovely February, what have your highlights been this month? Let me know in the comments or feel free to tweet me! (I'll leave the link at the end of the post)

February has been a pretty good month, I don't want to speak too soon because when I'm writing this its actually the 20th February and I have plenty of time before the month ends. I had so many things last month that I wanted to change especially to do with my blogging. I hardly blogged in January and so I was determined to blog a lot for you all this month and do you know what I think I have and you all seem to be loving it so thank you! My #ValentinesDay post went down a treat and got so many views.. it was pretty crazy and I posted a #MondayMotivation post this week and that also seems to be going down well! It makes me happy that there are so many of you who are enjoying my posts! I cannot possibly thank you enough. I've been off this week so I've been able to do a few blog posts and that really has been great considering I'm working all next week. I've a productive week off and I've been at the gym twice, so I feel very good about that. I don't really go to the gym much so when I do I love it and I always feel so much better about myself.

I've started buying a few more Vintage purchases and a few weeks ago I bought a gorgeous original 1960's coat from Bowler Vintage in York, UK. You might have seen it if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, if not make sure you guys do! I wouldn't want you to miss out. It was something that I fell in love with straight away and I wore it the other day for the first time! That was a buy that I guess will last me a long time.. I hope! I would love to know the story behind it of course.

The last week of February I found the most perfect 1940's little black bag, it was utterly gorgeous however when I took it home I realised it had a massive hole in the bottom and had to take it back to the shop. I was gutted because it was such a beautiful bag and would have looked amazing with my new coat. I'm still in the process for searching for a new handbag, I started this blog post a week ago and have only just got round to finishing it off, I had the busiest week at work. I got home on a night and watched some telly and went to bed. I hate no time to blog. It was impossible. I should have better luck this time though.

I cannot believe that today is the last day of February and March is tomorrow. Where is the year going? 3 months nearly into 2016 and still no man in my life. Something has to change and soon! Please be kind to me 2016.

My Favourite Retro Cars Post

Hello lovely readers of mine! Today's post is something different. I just had an idea of doing a retro car post, I don't know how I came about it but I just thought why not add something new to my blog and I also thought if any of you can drive it might be cool to see what Vintage cars there are about. Now I don't know anything about cars really, I just wanted to show you some pictures that I thought looked cool and pretty. It is surprising how many people own old fashioned cars, I think its great! You can't beat them can you?

Comment below and tell me what is your favourite car? I have so many that I love and these are just a few of them!

Thank you all for reading and I'll see you soon with another post!

The Chatty Lifestyle Post

I'm absolutely loving having this week off, don't get me wrong it feels weird not being at work because its the first holiday I've had since starting my new job 6 months ago! Its really nice though to have some time to myself and to enjoy being off with my mum. It is half term in the UK at the moment so all the schools are off which is brilliant because town is full of people. That is the only part that I hate about it and of course there are tourists everywhere in York. To be fair I don't blame them but you just can't get anywhere! So yesterday when my #MondayMotivation Post went live last night I thought do you know what I'm going to try and blog as much as I possibly can this week. I only realised just now (whilst writing this post) that this is my 71st blog post. How did this happen? I have no idea but somehow I've managed to do 11 posts since my 60th which for me was a big deal, well saying that so was 50. What am I like?! Anyway, this post is going to be a chatty one as I feel I have not really done one of these posts in absolutely ages and I'm so in the mood too. I also just got back from the gym and had the best workout and breakfast earlier! Me at the gym? Really? Yes I really like it, I've only been a few times but love it. I've never wanted to go the gym before purely because I just felt self conscious about myself working out. I don't really know why I think its because (and I'm guessing here) I'm tall and slim and don't get me wrong I love being tall and slim but sometimes I feel a bit self conscious about being at a gym and getting fit when I don't need to loose weight or anything but just being healthy, getting the exercise that my body needs and having a toned stomach or at least trying too! To be fair I actually see so many people with the same body build as myself so it definitely makes me feel 10 times better and now I really aren't bothered. It does not matter what body you have, everyone can go the gym for different reasons!

Here is a picture of my Blueberry Pancakes that I had at David Lloyd Gym earlier for breakfast! It was delicious and was so ready for it too!

It makes you feel so much better after ordering something like this when you know you've done some exercise! I ate it all of course and I thoroughly enjoyed it after having a lovely latte with it. It was such a great start to my morning!

It must be such a great thing to be able to start your day off by doing exercise even if that is just getting up for a run or going to the gym. So many people these days will go the gym and then go off to work. I don't know how you could do that unless you worked in an office. I just would not be able too I don't think! I suppose if your body is used to that then why not?!

Have any of you got Pinterest? That is a silly question because I bet the majority of you have it.
I know so many people especially bloggers that have it and its such a great way to get inspired by anything. Well I had got it a couple of years ago and thought it was amazing and used to 'pin' pictures everyday and then all of a sudden I stopped using it and deleted my account. Yesterday I was having a bit of a 'non Instagram day' I just could not seem to find anything that made me think 'wow I want to post you onto my feed' I was chatting to one of my followers and she mentioned about Pinterest so I ended up reactivating my old account and started using it again. I found the best photos and I wanted to share a couple of pictures with you.

Two Friends Stars Matt Le Blanc and Jennifer Aniston, I just loved how young they both looked back when they started filming friends and the picture at the bottom, such a beautiful pair of shoes. I also love how cute the socks look too! The modern vintage twist. Pinterest is such a great app, its free too so it doesn't cost you a thing and its so easy to use too! You can get any sort of pictures on there, if you have not got it I recommend that you check it out! Its great to post pictures on your social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr!

I hope you all having a lovely week whether your working, on holiday like myself or enjoying the half term holidays. I hope you enjoyed this chatty post, I just was in the mood to sit down and type, it also helped because I went to the gym today. I'm planning on going on Thursday too.

If you haven't already you can go and check my latest blog posts on blog lovin' or by reading them on my blog

Blog Lovin' as you probably know is an app that you can download free where you can follow your favourite blogs and you get notified when someone who your following uploads a new blog post.
Its actually such a great idea! I think all bloggers seem to have it like myself!

Keep up to date with what I'm doing by following me on my social media accounts!

Last but not least.. Instagram

Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for a new post coming up in the next couple of days! I'll be tweeting about it soon!

Thank you again for reading!

#MondayMotivation Post

A Monday Motivation Post? This is different for my blog and you would be right because it truly is.
I wanted to switch things up a bit because usually when you think #MondayMotivation there is usually a quote or two behind it. Well not this time. I wanted to have a Marilyn and Audrey post because I have not had one in absolutely ages, months and months ago! I also figured seeing images of Marilyn and Audrey were my Monday Motivation. It does not matter what type of build you are. any woman in the world can relate to these pictures and think to herself 'Oh I'd love to have the body of Audrey' and to be honest if you work hard at hitting the gym, eating healthy food then of course you can! But anyway I'll leave that side to someone else and now lets just concentrate on the pictures shall we? Where shall I begin?

I chose these two Old Hollywood Stars as they are my favourite's, I say favourite's but how cannot I not forget about Rita Hayworth, Lauren Bacall and Sophia Loren! They are all my woman crushes everyday.

This was an unusual post of mine apart from the Vintage side to it of course. I hope you are all having a fabulous day! I know Monday's aren't the best of days for the majority of people but I quite enjoy it because I love being able to start a new week and by having a new week means 99% of the time Monday is going to be a good!

January Review #GoalsFor2016

Hi everyone! For some bizarre reason of mine I decided to try to write this post when I was feeling under the weather. I had cold and it was a Sunday, the last day of January and even though my nose was all red I had to bring myself to do something productive as watching Netflix was not helping.
I also had a spur of the moment to do a blog post as it is the end of January today and I wanted to talk about how January has been for me and possibly do a few of the things I have been loving this month which I thought you'd like to read!

So lets begin! I cannot believe that January has finished! The first month of 2016 is pretty much over. Where have the days, weeks and hours simply gone? Well for me it has not been a bad month.
Since I started back at work, I have been a busy bee trying to keep our patients at the surgery happy and that means making sure they get the right appointment and coming home from work on a night putting Netflix on and watching Suits all over again. You guys should give it a watch if you have not since it before! Its just too good. Before you know it, its time for bed and I do it all over again.
Wednesday arrives and its my day off and the other week I saw my friend and her little boy so that was great and had such a lovely day with them, I had not seen her since November so it was so lovely to catch up. That was a good start to the year for me and I had already achieved two of my #GoalsFor2016 - Happy Charlotte.

I have been a bit 'laid back' with blogging this month which for me is not great and something I want to do in February. It is time consuming trying to figure out ideas and then sit down a type it out. I always try and blog on a weekend and on a Wednesday when I am not at work but sometimes its just not impossible to do so. I know I mentioned in my latest post which went live recently that I did write two new posts but I was waiting for something else to write before I published them. I realised there were pretty similar even though they were about a different thing. On Twitter recently I saw a blogger who had 8 posts scheduled to go up and I'm thinking wow she's organised and clearly is a full time blogger which I am not. I usually write a blog post and publish it a couple of days later, I think that works best for me. Unless I suddenly feel like writing another one, I do not feel less pressured in myself to do another and I can wait for a few days before thinking of a new idea. I feel not a positive side to blogging this month.. hopefully I can do better next month!

Come on February bring me some luck! I need luck. Oh wait.. Its February which means Valentines Day. I have never had any luck with boys. I just have not and even though I took this out of my #GoalsFor2016 I would still like to find someone. I hate this time, all the shops are selling Valentines things for couples to buy each other things and it can be depressing for the single people out there. It does not bother me though, it is just another day for me. I guess I can watch a Channing Tatum, James Franco or even a Chris Evans movie! I could even watch a old classic bond film! I watched a Just Jodes YouTube Channel the other day and it was a Valentines Day Lush Haul. She had bought herself a Valentines Day Lush box and showed us what lovely things that was inside it, It was pretty expensive but I guess if you got that you'd be chuffed to bits. I love how she bought herself another one and was going to give it away to someone. If you are single it's definitely a nice thing to cheer you up with lots of Lush goodies for Valentines Day! I am also loving Sprinkle of Glitter's vlogs at the moment, I just love her! Think she is amazing, I love her vlogs with Darcy and when she's just out and about. You cannot beat her! She is such an inspiration even more now that she is a single mother, I still cannot believe it, its so sad, They made the perfect family but like everyone you never know what goes on behind closed doors. I love how she's spending Valentines Day with Darcy. The fact that she's bought her daughter a cute Valentines Day card is so sweet and shows that it can be about anyone who you love.

February should be interesting month I still want to keep feeling motivated, happy and that 2016 is going well. As I mentioned earlier in this post there are still so many things I would like to improve and at the end I can feel like yes another month gone and look what I did. I use twitter everyday I'm always posting things on there, retweeting and just keeping up with the blogging life when I can.
I actually mentioned this to a friend earlier about how I really dislike Facebook now. I pretty much use Twitter but its always good to keep up with old work buddies I guess.

Thank you for reading this post, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all who are following me on BlogLovin'. I seem to be getting people following my blog almost everyday! I do not know where you are all coming from but thank you!
