Hopes And Dreams For 2019

I have never been a fan of setting  myself New Year Resolutions, I think if you want to achieve something you can do it in your own time rather than setting yoirself targets on what you want to do.

I like to set myself goals or this year hopes and dreams of things I want to achieve/improve as I soon to begin my twenty seventh year on this planet. Twenty Seven? How scary is that. How did I get so old and how fast has the years gone by.

So I start with number 1, as a part time blogger I would love to be able to work with more brands. I had the most pleasure working with Soph from Bamble Vintage and SkinKissed. I was over the moon and really would like to work with a variety of brands.

Number 2, I would love to find the perfect layout for my blog or perhaps work with someone to create it as I would like something more personal to add to my little space on the internet.

Number 3, Invest in a good camera so I can take flatlays and blog/instagram photos.

4. Finish off my bedroom.

5, Start thinking about my career and what I want to achieve.

5, Pluck up the coverage and get started on the best dating apps.

6, Having a better circle of friends.

7, Finally having a boyfriend.

8, Moving out

9, To start a YouTube Channel.

I also want to do more traveling and would love to have a better following on Instagram and perhaps meet more bloggers/influncers.

What are your goals for 2019?

Merry Chrismas And A Happy New Year

Well hello there you lovely lot! I hope you have had the most wonderful Christmas! It seems like such a long time ago and it was a week ago now. I apologise for the lack of posts inbetween the festitive period, I was back at work straight after Boxing Day and felt exhausted so I couldn't bring myself to start writing again. I spent Christmas with my family and had the most loveliest time with them. So Christmas Eve, I worked all day and then when I got home, my mum made us all a beef stew with dumplings and it was perfect! All I needed was a hearty, comforting tea and then we sat down and watched Saturday Night Fever. It was the first time me and my sister had seen it, the music was amazing but it is a sad film but don't you think John Travolta looks fab right?

Christmas Day was a great day, my grandparents came round and we Turkey, the trimmings and lots of other yummy things! Mum also made a gorgeous pavlova which I ended up having on Boxing day and had a Yule Log instead..

Then on Boxing Day we went to Whitby for a couple of hours in the afternoon and it was lovely. The last couple of days we have been out with my mums side of the family which has been great to catch up. We went for a curry last night and I came across the most amazing red pinfore earlier on whilst walking through Topshop. It just caught mine and my mums eyes when we went in and tried it on when I got home and YES it fit! So I decided to wear it last night..

Do you know what I love about it? The colour is a gorgeous burgundy dress curduroy pinafore that can be dressed down or up whichever you want. Just a simple black top underneath, for that classic look that ALWAYS is so stylish.

I hope you all have had a wonderful 2018 and lets have a better 2019 for all of us, filled with happiness, health and love.

Twenty Eighteen

Twenty Eighteen has been a year of growing for me and something which I've really had to put my heart and soul into. It definitely has been a learning curve and something I am proud of. I've had some highs and lows just like everyone but you learn to carry on as life doesn't stop just because you have had 'one of those days'. You have to pick yourself up and just get on what it.. easier said that done right? I've met some wonderful people, my little space on the internet has grown and was lucky enough to work with such a fabulous brand and was able to truly find myself all over again.

I love this time of the year as you do start reflecting on your year and what things you have achieved, enjoyed, what things have challenged you and what things you can improve on.

My little space on the internet has grown so much this year, the content was better. I knew what I was doing and I knew the contact I wanted to create. This year I got to work with such an amazing brand, Skin Kissed which was so exciting for me and I had so much fun. I also was lucky enough to work with Sophie from Bamble Vintage. The growth in my posts has had a huge impact on Lottie's Lott and it is so lovely to know you are all loving my blog. Without you, I wouldn't be doing this so it is always a blessing when someone says to you that they love your blog.

For my 26th birthday I went to Liverpool in May with two of my friends had such a fab time. I want to go back, hit all the Beatles things and see all the vintage shops. It is such an inspiring city!

I joined the gym back in February and it is honestly one of the best things I have ever done! I finally decided to take the bullet and do it. It is a great feeling when you start regularly hitting the gym and you notice a difference in your body. I used to think people were staring at me at the gym but no you realise that everyone just does their own thing and you stop feeling shy and your confidence just boosts up.

I feel like this blog has made me a lot more confident and every day I am growing and for that I am forever grateful.

Glitz And Glamour

Well hello you lovely lot. I am currently writing this blog post on a cold, chilly Sunday afternoon. I have been watching The Haunting of Hill House and it is terrifying to say the least. I honestly do not know why I am watching it, let alone on my own. I hate scary things and this is genuially why I never plucked up the courage to watch it when it came out at Halloween but I am on epsiode 3 at the moment and find it rather intriguing that I have to keep watching it.

I am feeling very festive right now as you can probably tell by seeing me stood by my Christmas Tree. Every year we always get a real tree, there is something about a feel tree that just makes Christmas so much more exciting. We bought our tree at the beginning of December but have had it outside for about 2 weeks but this weekend it was time to put it up. We usually put our tree up round about the weekend of the 15th December. It took us all afternoon to do it, I must say this tree is probably the best one we have ever had. Just look at how big it is, it is so busy and very tall. Good job we have plenty of decorations right? haha I think we are getting a few more as there is a couple of branches that just look a bit lonely.

Our Christas Decorations range from ones that we have had since we were babies, both Fiona and I have a stocking decoration from our Great Grandma Millie who wrote our names on it when we were born and have always had them on our Christmas Tree. She also knitted us two Father Christmas's and an Angel too which we also had from when we were babies and of course always goes on the tree.

This year we decided to just have white lights on the tree this year, we usually put coloured lights but we wanted a bit of a change. I think you could say it looks very Glitz and Glamour if I do say so myself!

Golden Oldie

If you have been following Lottie's Lott for a while now you will know that I am a huge fan of The Bearles. I grew up loving them thanks to my mums side of the family and started listening to them when I was about 7 years old. Anyway I haven't posted much about them for a while but came across these photo's above which I adore. Early Beatle's photographs from Tumblr, in the early 1960s. I wanted to share these with you as I absolutely love them and each photo they are all pulling a different face.

So here is a little photo diary.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Hello you wonderful lot! As I write this post my work girly is on her travels to Barbedos with her husband. It's their honeymoon.. how exciting! Cannot wait to see her, I miss her a lot. She knows who she is.. BM. Anyway whilst that is going on, back in York, back where its Christmas I have been thinking about Christmassy blogmas posts to do and have a few in mind. I love this month and if you saw my recent post 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' well then you will know all my Christmas treats as a child. I honestly had the best Christmas growing up. But in today's post I wanted to share a a few Christmas Traditions that my family used to do when I was little and this is why one day I want to carry them on when I have children of my own (I hope).

On Christmas Eve, my sister and I would always watch films together and always ended up watching The Borrowers. Dad would be preparing the turkey and veg for the following day. I remember one Christmas Eve, I think we were about 10/11 year old mum brought us some Christmas pyjamas, mine had polar bears on them and I loved them. I cannot remember Fiona's but that was probably one of the first Christmas's when we went to sleep with Chrismas pyjamas on. We would go to bed and leave our Christmas sacks at the bottom of our beds and would wake up in the morning and see our sacks filled with presents and dad would have to carry them downstairs and under the tree would be filled with presents.

On Christmas Day dad would have a big binbag and would spend his morning putting the wrapping paper in the bag,, haha he still does that now. I think he still loves it. We have always had Christmas at home, well we have been to the pub a couple of times but that was just the four of us and we were really little as I remember we brought a toy with us. Nowadays we have Christmas at home and my grandparents come round which is nice. I prefer Christmas at home, once you have had your Christmas lunch we just watch films and usually Toy Story is on.

Boxing Day was filled with happy memories as a child as we would have both sets of grandparents round and Fiona and I would put on a little show. I remember one year Fiona got some cheer leading red pompoms and we did a little routine with them. Mum would put some food on and we would have a chilled day playing games, with our toys and just having a wonderful time. Now, as my mums parents aren't here anymore they are happy memories. I must say my grandma and grandad loved Christmas, Grandma Betty would be having a sherry and Grandad Tenny would be drinking whisky.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Well hello December you are here and I cannot put into words how fast this year has come round. 2019 is just round the corner and that scares me just a little.. I have had to redo this blog post, my content didnt seem to save? No idea what happened. The only thing I think of is that I accidently deleted it yesterday when I was creating another blog post. Anyway December is such an exciting month, lots of people seem to put up their Christmas decorations so early.. I have seen so many people on Instagram just popping up their decs.. which makes me want to pop mine up. We always get a real tree so we have to wait a couple of weeks to put it up. When I was younger we always had an artifical tree which I loved but for the past few years we always get a real one, they are messy but they look better and they make the room smell of Christmas. You will know what I mean if you have one.

I love everything about Christmas, me and my sister had such an amazing Christmas when we little. We were very lucky and always got lots of presents and were always very grateful for what we got. Christmas is for children and it is the most wonderful time of the year, Fiona and I would always get so excited for Father Christmas coming we could never sleep. Our sacks would be buy our beds when we went to bed and our parents would usually move them downstairs into the living room before they went to bed. It was a magical time, I can remember standing on my bed before I went to sleep and looked out of my window to see if he was coming..

I used to love singing to Christmas hyms at school and doing advent. That is when I really liked school as school was interesting and leading up to Christmas was the best. Now I work full time at a doctors surgery and it is such a busy time for us now, well it will be Christmas week but now everyone wants to be seen before Christmas which is tough to fulfill when you haven't got the staff but of course you have to give the best service to patients as possible. At the end of the day it s the same for you, if you also want to go and see the doctor, you have to wait. That is how the NHS is nowadays and I am so thankful we have it.

Anyway, I hope you all have the most amazing time celebrating Christmas, ticking off your presents for your family and friends whilst trying to fit it in with work.

November Playlist

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend, no matter how you are spending it! I have been listening a lot to the Beatles again, some tunes that I haven't really heard before and others which I have played on my record player a thousand times but this got me thinking, why not do a playlist and show you all the music I have been listening too. I listen to music every single day, whether thats going to work, coming home, on a weekend, you name it I always have music on. I guess you could say its my happy place and this is why I came up with the idea of creating a playlist of my favourite songs that I have been loving this month.

The first song I came across is called April in Paris by Dean Martin. I love Dean Martin and I just happened to click on it and all of a sudden I could hear my Grandad's voice and it just sounded like he used to sing. Af first, it made me cry and I couldn't listen to it and I have just downloaded it and I love it. It brings happy tears. If you love old songs then you will definitely love this one.

April in Paris,
Chestnuts in blossom,

Holiday tables,

Under the trees.

April in Paris,
This is a feeling,

No one can ever reprise.

Next up is a Beatles song which I didnt know exsisted until I started playing the Yellow Submarine vinyl and heard the song 'Hey Bulldog' and now cannot stop listening to it. Infact the entire vinyl has some amazing songs on. I love all The Beatles albums, some people have their favourites but I find them all unique in their own way. The SGT Pepper Album has a special place in my heart as that the first Beatles Album I bought on CD.

Another song which I have been loving is Killer Queen by the one and only Queen of course and Somebody To Love. I can just listen to these songs all over again.

A November Favourites Photo Diary

I am writing this blog post on a Wednesday afternoon, its cold outside, the weather has completely changed and winter is well and truly here. How is that possible? How is it nearly December? Well lets not go into that right now but honestly the week's are flying by and soon it will be Christmas and 2018 will be over. How has this year flown by so fast, where is the time going? Anyway whilst we are still trying to get our heads around that, I was scrolling through tumblr the other day and came across the most perfect pictures and wanted to share them on here with you guys. I love them and they give me the greatest of vibes and of course how could I not share a photo of Amy Winehouse, she is such a sweetheart and one of my favourite singers, idols you name it. I love Amy and why wouldn't I not feature her on the blog. Also the photo of Amy I found is before she had tattoos. It has to be one of my all time favourite photo's of her.

Someone who I have been loving for a while is Winona Ryder, she is someone who people look up too very much like Amy. Her style when she was younger is amazing and people love her for it, not only her fashion sense but the fact she is a great actress and I love her in Stranger Things.

As for the rest, here is a photo diary above of a few of my favourite images that I am loving at the moment. It was very hard to choose as there was so much I loved but please keep an eye out on my Instagram as a few of them will be featured on there too.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation and Mattifying Loose Setting Powder Review

Hello you wonderful lot, today I wanted to chat to you about a foundation that I have just bought aswell as the mattifying powder from Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection.  As you may know by now I have tried quite a few of them and I was looking to try out the Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation as I bought the primer during the summer and was really impressed with it so I wanted to do a little review just to see how I thought about the foundation and the mattifying powder aswell.

The transfer-resistant medium coverage foundation creates a smooth canvas for flawless, comfortable matte wear using  exclusive comfort matte technology that is never cakey or mask-like.

14-hour, photo-friendly wear
Smooths for a flawless finish
Infused with Ecclusive Comfort Matte Technology
Smells like Peach and Sweet Fig Milk

I bought the foundation online but I had spent so many hours looking at the different kind of shades on the Too Faced website and I decided to buy the lightest shade in the Peach Perfect Foundation called Snow. The shade snow is for very fair skintones and for rosy undertones and matches my skin perfectly. There are 12 shades available in the Peach Perfect foundation range. Too Faced do recommend applying the foundation with a sponge or using a makeup brush, I tried out both of these and I feel like the coverage works well on both for me as I don't want a full coverage, I prefer to have a light, medium coverage as my skin is very fair, I have normal skin but this foundation is supposed to be great for ladies that suffer with oily skin so I would check it out. I also watched quite a lot of Youtubers who review this foundation who also had oily skin and they loved it.

The foundation is easy to blend in, leaves your skin with a very matte finish, it smells devine of peaches and sweet fig however the smell isn't too strong. The foundation comes in the same kind of design as the Peach Perfect Primer and comes with a pump which is very easy to use The foundation also retails at £27.00. I used about a 3/4 pumps of foundation onto my face and used to the sponge first on one side just to see what it was like and then used the brush on the other side of my face and I liked both but I prefer to use a make up brush to apply my foundation rather than a sponge..

Too Faced packaging always seems to be the best and they always get it right! I love the packaging always stands out and I must say it always looks very pretty!

Universal peach-tinted powder which works to brighten your skin and create a silky smooth matte canvas.

Modern, comfort matte fornula
Feather-light, universal peach tint
14 hour wear
Oil and shine free
Great for under the eye baking.

This product is formulated without Gluten and Parabens and is cruelty free.

The powder is very well designed, it has the same packaging as the foundation/primer does and has peach perfect on the lid with a cute apple. When you take the lid off the powder, you notice the powder has a clear lid/filter so the powder doesn't go everywhere which I think is a great idea. All you do is shake the product onto the lid (you only need a tiny bit) and boom you are away! The powder smells devine, it is very very sweet which I love and has a strong smell of peaches and sweet fig cream. I found the powder is very light and as soon as you apply the powder onto your foundation it makes your skin feel so soft. No wonder Too Faced say it is also great for blending. The powder retails for £20 which is a great price as you get so much product in and it will last you a long time!

I actually used a sponge to apply the powder which works so much better and as you can get the product right into the corners of your face. Because the powder is loose I find it easier to use the sponge rather than a makeup brush as the powder can be quite messy but apart from that I would recommend both of these products to you all.
