The New Wardrobe Of Mine

Well hello there you wonderful bunch, hope you are doing well and had a lovely weekend. Mine was super chilled, I went into town twice.. yes twice now that does seem a bit ridicious however the second trip on Sunday, the following day was very much needed and I did buy some rather nice things. So you know its okay. Hmm on another note I am not enjoying this weather, on Saturday I was wrapped up in my winter coat, it was freezing and very bitter. I was glad to go home but on Sunday it was a different matter. Sunday mean't wearing the most perfect coat I own and that was my faux fur coat. I wore this outfit above, my jumper from And Other Stories and my new Faux Frame Tortoiseshell Shoulder Bag which I adore and gives me the most amazing 1950's vibes. I also have the bag in the lighter colour too and the cap is a lovely dark green colour and also from And Other Stories.

Next up is one of my favourite blouses also from And Other Stories. I actually have featured this gorgeous cherry blouse before on my blog and on my Instagram. However these are all of the outfits so far that I have been wearing this week and I am making the most of it. I also wore some lovely eyeshadow from Too Faced, Ginger Bread Spice which is my all time favourite palette.

This outfit below was the start of my week off Monday 29th October, it started off by going to the crem with my mum. We are getting a plate where my grandma and grandad ashes are buired which will be really nice. We went to see them and then we had breakfast down Bishopthorpe Road to the Pig and Pastry for breakfast.

So mum got a quiche with salad and it looked lovely and I had herby mushrooms on sourdough bread it was delicious.

I hope you enjoyed this post and Happy Halloween to you all! Have the most amazing time.

Reflecting on October

Another month has nearly past and I cannot believe it is November this week. The day I'm writing this is Monday 29th October and I am off for the week and it is the best feeling ever. I have not been off since I went away to Crete in July so I needed a week of no work, no stress and most importantly time to chill out. It was my grandad Tenny's 2 year anniversary seen he passed away and he died on the Friday so all weekend I have been feeling very sad, hence my instagram post and how much I have been playing Frank Sinatra all weekend on my record player. I was going to do a post but I already did one of my Grandma a month ago which features both of them and I also did a blog post 2 years ago called 'Keep Smiling' when I lost my grandad. There are so many words, so many emotions that I feel at the moment and it all seems to be in the 'Keep Smiling' post. I know my grandad and grandma are always looking down us, sending us love, telling us to keep smiling and always being there. Both of them are my inspiration and now everything I do I want to make them proud. I know they will be though, their whole world was involved around my mum, my uncles, and now the six of us. There isn't a day that goes by when I wish I could give them a call, tell them how much I love and miss them and give them the biggest hug. They are memories which I will always treasure, the videos, the photographs. I love them both so much. T.B.T.B.TB (Tenny, Betty)

One of my closest work girlies is leaving next week and I am so happy for her and her new life in London but I will miss her a lot, quite a lot actually. she hasn't been with us that long but I am super glad that I got chance to meet her. Of course she can't get rid of me that easy haha *insert winkey face* but I know she will meet new friends, new people and it will be a great. I will be very sad next Tuesday.

Whilst I'm off this week I am planning on blogging more and I want to try and upload more rather than I would be doing. Work is so busy and I never get the chance to upload during the week, my shifts are all different and when I do get home, all I want to do is get a bath and watch Netflix. Then I end up going to bed, the joys of working at a doctors surgery. I recently did a blog post about my
Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette Review which you all seemed to love, so thank you. I do have lots of vintage posts coming up.

What are your plans for Halloween? I personally aren't a great lover of halloween. I don't really like dressing up but I love to see people on social media and what sort of look they go for.

My Too Faced Gingerbread Spice EyeShadow Palette Review

Too Faced is a makeup brand which I am obsessed with and wish I could pop into one of their stores to buy their makeup. Actually they have a makeup counter in Debehams in Leeds which is my closest store and my I say it is amazing. I am always scrolling through their website and Instagram page infact this is how I came across thThe Gingerbread Spice Palette. I kept thinking to myself 'wow this looks incredible, the colours look amazing and the fact they aren't colours that are too dark and how it smelt of gingerbread. It is what Christmas is all about and everyone thinks of gingerbread as a smell that reminds you that Christmas is coming. I actually brought the palette on Debehams website which actually only takes a couple of days for your delivery to arrive, it is so good and I recommend it if you are also from the UK and want to purchase Too Faced products.

The Gingerbread Spice eyeshadow palette is made up of 18 warm and toasty eye shadows that are full and very playful pops of colour that smell very sweet and I do not get a strong smell of gingerbread, you can smell vanilla though. I actually think that the gingerbread can be a powerful smell which is why Too Faced opted for a less lighter smell of gingerbread but I still love it. The shades are very pretty, very colourful and very much perfect for the time year. They are very highly pigmented have a lovely creamy texture, very easy to apply and last for the whole day so you don't need to keep reapplying later on. All of their palettes come with a big mirror too and of course who cannot love their packaging! It is their packaging which I adore and they must spend so much time making sure its right. It is very cute with the little gingerbread on the front and all of the shades come with amazing names too. I love how this product is also cruetly free too!

My favourite shades so far are Powered Sugar, Hot Toddy, Frostbite Me and Gumdrop. I haven't tried the others yet but cannot wait. I don't want to use them all at once but I will definitely keep you updated.

This palette retails at £39.00 it is pricey but Too Faced Eyeshadow palettes all seem to be the same amount. I must say Too Faced products are expensive but they are great quality and last a long time.

Discliamer - This post is not sponspored, all opinions are my own.

Auturmn Comfort

I wanted to do something on here that I don't often do is actually style up an oufit which I am obsessed with at the moment and since I have bought it I just cannot help myself. Okay okay.. which mean't I absolutely HAD to style this look and it is one of my favourite jumpers I've ever had.
So the jumper itself is oversized with a mock neck and puff sleaves which is perfect for this time of the year. It is so soft and warm and it gives the most amazing auturnal vibes don't you think? The dropped shoulder seams and the varsity stripe that makes you want to fall in love with this knit.
The question I am asking myself is 'Lottie, can you imagine life without the jumper and my answer is 'No I cannot.' I actually saw this jumper on Instagram the other week when I was scrolling through my feed and someone posted a picture and I loved it. I went to Leeds last weekend and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to get it. It is one of those jumpers that makes you feel alive when you put it on, its super comfy and warm to lay about it.

I paired this jumper up with some new earrings which I also found in And Other Stories and they go really well with the knit. I actually wore them to a work night last week and I loved them.

You can also find this look on my new IGTV video on my Instagram. I wanted to do a little video on here first before I did a blog post. Make sure you go and check that out.

I like anything vintage, sometime that tell's a story. When you hold it or see through a shop window and think I wonder who had that and I wonder how she got it. I honestly think that is the greatest thing in the world. I love quirky clothes, clothes that are different, clothes that make you light up when you see them. I've always had a special place in my heart for the 1950s, infact it is my favourite era. I love Old hollywood, it's stars, the style, the music, the cars the everything. Weirdly enough my wardrobe is very much 60's inspired at the moment. Not all of my clothes are but just some odd pieces that I adore. I guess you could call them Snapshots of the things I like.

Snapshots are the greatest and they capture everything you want in the photo. I start by talking the show Mad Men, the photo at the top of the blog post is the cast towards the middle of the series. I haven't finished Mad Men yet but I am half way through series 4 and I absolutely love it.I am pretty obsessed with the maority of the cast, I love January Jones who plays Betty Draper. I love Jon Hamm who plays Don Draper even though he isn't the greatest husband in the world but you can't help yourself and love him. So I am very excited to finish Mad Men, I actually have been binge watching 'it as it just gets better and better (please don't hate me).
I love the quote ' I have nothing to wear' as I feel like every woman can relate to this. You may have a wardrobe full of clothes but sometimes you just cannot find what you are looking for.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were the cutest twins and they were the loveliest of clothes. They are style icons and so many people adore them.
Last but not least is the loveliest picture that I found on tumblr with a gorgeous sunset in LA, old fashioned cars and it looks perfect!
