February Favourites

Welcome back to another monthly favourites and this time it is a mixture of lots of different things. I wanted to start with this photo above which I came across on Tumblr and I absolutely think it deserves a special place on this post. The words 'be yourself, only for yourself'' is such an important thing to remember.

I absolutely love this Zebra jumper from Topshop and it is one of the best birthday presents I got this year. Thank you to my sister, she has good taste and just knows my style. I love how oversized it is and you honestly feel snug as bug in it. Perfect for the bad weather we have just had and a winter staple that you need in your wardrobe.

All the amazing food and cake on my birthday! I was very spoilt and had the best few days celebrating. This photo of Jennifer Aniston and her 'famous side part' is one of the best photo's ever. She is a icon and I adore her. I mean who doesn't love a photo of Rachel Green?

Last but not least this absolute icon, Paloma Faith. I came across this photo on Tumblr and fell in love with it. So much inspiration and she seems to look great in anything.

Self Love I Reflecting on February

Hello February, you are nearly over and what a month it has been. I must say work has got in the way of blogging these last few weeks which meant I barely wrote anything. I absolutely hate that feeling and always feel guility as that was one of the things when I began blogging I would not do. However back in 2015, I was working part time, it was very different and had lots of time to create blog posts. Now my days consist of working five days a week and the only time I get to write is after the gym on a Wednesday or a weekend. It can be hard going especially when you get home after a long day and all you want to do is watch Netflix whilst getting a bath. These last few weeks haven't been easy but I'm hoping for a better month in March where I dedicate some time to Lottie's Lott. However, February is my blogging month and that means on Thursday 14th February (Valentines Day) my blog celebrated four years! I actually wrote a blog post which you can have a little read about the fact I have been blogging siince 2015.

I didn't do an awful lot on Valentines Day purely because I was working and went to the gym after and I must say after a busy hectic day it was really nice to clear my head. However as I am writing this post it is Saturday which means I treated myself to a little shortbread biscuit with jam instead.. (yum yum) shaped as a loveheart of course.

I then came home after looking at holidays and then decided to take a few little OOTD's with my fresh blow dried hair so it was wavy and I really liked it.

Hope you all had a good February!

4 Years Blogging #ValentinesDay

Today is an exciting day in the world of the internet as four years ago on this Valentines Day way back in 2015 I plucked up the courage and created my little space online and Lottie's Lott was born. I never felt so scared in my life as it was real but I was excited to see what was going to happen. I couldn't wait to start to create content that I loved and my instagram was just getting revamped with everything vintage, so it was the perfect opportunity. I remember writing my first ever blog post wondering what an earth I was doing, with barely anything on it just a lot of images of Marilyn and Audrey. That was what I loved and still do but since then I found so many other stars that I adore, Sophia Loren, Lauren Bacall and Rita Hayworth. The list goes on and over the last couple of years my blog has gone through a new lease of life all thanks to Pipdig. I must say that was the best decision I made and I wouldn't ever go back. I found two amazing blog layouts which I loved and honestly made Lottie's Lott 10 times better than what it ever did! Speaking of revamping, I have recently made a few little changes to the font on my blog and I am very pleased with it. It has made such a difference and added a little extra boost to Lottie's Lott and the perfect way to start the New Year!

It has taken 4 years to finally feel confident in what I post and what content I want to make. It really does take a while to get your head around it and you can loose sleep over it but once you are there it honestly is the greatest feeling. Of course it would be an amazing opportunity to collobrate with brands etc but that takes time and it is something else which comes with blogging.

As always, thank you to every single one of you that reads my blog. I am so grateful to you all. It means everything to me and I cannot thank you enough. You don't realise how amazing you are!

Here is to another year of blogging, always improving and making dreams come true.

My Belated Birthday Post

A week today it was my 27th birthday and it was such a fabulous day. I had a pretty chilled day but then went to the gym and then went out for tea to Pizza Express. It was the best, those pizza's are amazing. I opened my presents when we got home and I must say I was very lucky indeed, my parents and the help of my uncle and auntie had created the most PERFECT picture I'd ever seen of The Beatles. Well thank you Uncle John for finding the best photo of them when they first started and my Auntie Gill for getting the perfect frame for it. At the moment it is not up in my bedroom but as soon as it is, lots and lots of photo's will be taken so I can show you all what it's like. Ever since I had my bedroom redone back in the summer of last year I had wanted a picture of The Beatles in my room but I couldn't find any places where I could them and I just didn't want any old thing. I wanted something that was special and now I do and it is the best feeling ever. I believe the idea all started off with my dad as he was asking my uncle on his birthday just before New Year's Eve about the best places where you get pictures of The Beatles from. My uncle has always been a fan of The Beatles since he was a child, infact the whole of my mum's side of the family are beatlemania.

Sticking with The Beatles, I opened another present which was actually from my auntie and uncle which included a Ben Sherman limited edition shirt that my cousin James used to wear with the Beatles on it. I mean you can imagine my face filled with happiness when I opened it. I literally could not believe it. I have been a fan of them since I was 7 years old and simply adore them. Let me tell you I'll be wearing the shirt when Spring/Summer arrives .. I've already got the outfit planned already.

My sister got me the warmest jumper I've ever worn. It is the Moving Zebra Print Jumper in monocrome. It is so soft and very oversized and Fiona got me a medium. I generally love it and perfect to wear with jeans or a skirt depending on how you want to style it with.
