First Impressions Of Glossier Play - Is It Worth The Hype?

When Glossier made its first mysterious announcement about Glossier Play. I was very excited to see what it was all about as I am a huge fan of Glossier. I ordered a few of the products that took my fancy and I am really excited to show you all of my first impressions of Glossier Play. As you may know Glossier is all about minimal make up, looking natural and glowy skin. However Glossier Play is very much like the girl next door who wants to play around with make up with a glossy lip and a glittery eyes. The packaging itself is right up my street, it is most definitely 1970s kind of vibes with the font and the colours.

First up is the Vinylic Lip..

This product caught me eye so much! I love a glossy lip and when applied it on my lips it left such a lovely shine and the colour I decided to go for was called  blow up which is a candy pink. It is such a pretty colour. The vinylic lip comes in 6 different shades and it is perfect if you want to wear a glossy lip.

Next up we have is the Glitter Gelée..

Now this product really fascinated me as I have never tried Glitter gels but I wanted to see what all the fuss about as I had seen quite a few reviews on this and wanted to try them out. So there are four Glitter Gelée's and I went for the Glass Bonsai with has gold glimmer and glints of chartreuse. It is honestly so pretty but quite messy to apply. Glossier recommend buying the Gelée's with The Detailer which is a beauty tool that helps you apply the gel onto your lid. To apply the gel I followed Glossier's recommendation and used my finger tip to apply the gel onto my lid and used The Detailer to place onto the skin.

I like the product but it is something I would wear on a night if I was going out somewhere fancy and just wanted to add a little bit of glitter to my look.

Now we have the Color Slide (Colour)..

I am really really interested by these colour eye pencil, it comes in 14 different shades and the colours look amazing. It really dedicated to everyone who loves bright colours and loves experimenting with make up. You can use them as a eyeshadow or just as an eyeliner and I think that's a great idea. I chose the shade Candyland which is a metallic, sherbet pink and it is the perfect colour for me. I find them easy to apply and they glide on straight away.

Last but not we have the Niteshine..

Where do we start! This product is my absolute favourite. I would honestly purchase this highlighter over and over. It's like a little nail polish so how could you not want it in your make up bag? The Niteshine highlighter comes in four different shades, I chose the 2nd lightest which is called Platinum Rose a pink luster for a rosy sheen. It gives you such an amazing glow to your skin and it is so easy to apply with your finger tips. You cannot go wrong!
