First Impressions of the IT Cosmetics CC Cream I Is It Worth The Hype? Honest Review

If you guys did not know I adore makeup! I spent every second of every minute scrolling through Cult Beauty or IGTV looking at people's make up video's to get some inspiration. I wish, I had the money to buy it all but I'm pretty happy right now with what I have. Having said that towards the end of 2019 I started watching IT Cosmetics UK Instagram Page and fell in love with the UK and Ireland Brand Ambassador Rose Gallagher's make up tutorials. Last week I was looking online and decided to buy the IT Cosmetics CC cream which Rose loves and so does so many people! It is their best seller and I was very intrigued as to see why. So, I ordered mine on Boots website and ended up using my points to but the CC it was great but now I have no points left! Now before I begin, I have the lightest shade which is fair, yes I have very fair skin and I love glowy make up. I am a big fan of natural, light coverage make up, I love the saying 'less is more' when it comes to make up because that is very true. I hate anything that is too thick and looks cakey. I love to be able to see my skin. Anyway lets get into this review..

Key Benefits

It delivers 7 benefits, all in one:

  1. Full coverage Make up
  2. Anti-ageing with SPF 50
  3. Brightening colour corrector
  4. Hydrating
  5. Pores appear reduced
  6. Reduce the look of lines and wrinkles

IT Cosmetics recommends you apply 1-2 pumps of the CC Cream to clean skin and buff the product into the skin using circular motions all over the face. Also Your Skin But Better CC cream is also available in CC illumination SPF50 and CC Matte with SPF40 finishes.

I was a bit concerned that the formula would be too thick when I applied it onto my skin but it wasn't.. and I was very surprised by that. I have seen so many YouTubers/Bloggers  use it and really like. I only applied 1 pump and it worked great because I was able to mix in my Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and that made a really nice dewy combination. It is also nice on its own however I do feel like they could bring out some more shades as I honestly think that the shade I have which is the lightest one is probably quite dark for some people. This is what love about Too Faced as they bring out so many different shades and you cannot go wrong. The CC cream is £31.00 which I think is quite expensive but the packaging is really good and you do get a lot of product so you cannot go wrong! I also love how it comes with a pump so it is very easy to apply.

Would I purchase again?

I would 100% recommend the CC Cream to anyone who perhaps wants to try something new, who likes full coverage and even if you like a glow it still leaves your skin feeling fresh. It also doesn't make your skin look cakey and thick, That is one of the things I look for whenever I'm on the hunt for a new foundation/ complexion booster.

Of course, whatever works for me, may not work for you. I am very fair and prefer a dewy, glowy finish. If you have been following me on here for a while you may have seen a few of my absolute favourite beauty products which I go back too all the time and I use them every single day.

Some people love the full face of makeup and I must say I do my own version of that using the CC cream and I love it just as much. Sometimes it is also nice to mix in the CC and the concealer together and create a lovely base for your make up, leaving your skin with coverage but still looks like you are wearing hardly any makeup. I go always go by 'less is more' when it comes to beauty.

Have you tried anything makeup or skincare product from IT Cosemtics and if so, what did you all think?

Twenty Eight

On Friday, 24th January it was my 28th birthday and I've had the best weekend celebrating! I honestly cannot believe I'm two years of thirty.. honestly where has my twenties gone! I feel like it has past by so fast but then its crazy to think I've been on Earth for twenty eight years, a large proportion of those years have been spent daydreaming and finding myself. So much has changed in the last few years, good and bad, some better and others for worse but life is a funny old thing and not everything is going to be 'perfect'. I'm still growing, still don't have as many friends as I would and never been in love but that's okay. I hope, I'll find him soon and really hoping 2020 is a great year. There is so much I want to achieve and do, I'm definitely making the most of this year! I spent my birthday morning at the gym which was a gorgeous day, blue skies and glorious sunshine.. I was extremely happy to be not working. I then, met my sister and went to Designer Outlet and ended up going to Wagamama's. We then stopped off at Cafe Nero and I could not resist getting a Cappuccino!! I spent the evening at home with my family and it was lovely!

On Saturday, I had a lazy morning and wore this gorgeous jumper from And Other Stories which my sister got me for Christmas 2019 and I love it! Then I ended up re doing my makeup, yes that is right I took it all off with the Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser which I bought last week to try and so far I really love and have noticed such a difference. Anyway, I applied my favourite products again and had an outfit change and I was ready to go out for food and drinks with my family. It was a really good night and I had booked a table at Marzano's, Fossgate in York which is an independent Italian but I would 100% recommend if you live in York or visiting it is a great place to go. We had  bread and olives to start and a meat platter which I forgot to take a photo but it was filled with salad, sun dried tomatoes and even more olives!

For Pizza, I went for a Marzano Special which had a mixture of toppings, mushrooms, pepperoni and cheese and tomato. It was delicious and would recommend it if you like trying out new pizza's. We then went to The Market Cat for drinks which was great and I have never been there before.

You can also shop this blouse above which my sister got me for my birthday! I love it.
Zara Embroidered Plumetis Blouse

I have had a lovely weekend celebrating and have been out with my friends today which has been great. I love catching up with them and we always have the best time.

The Roaring Twenties

Today is all about the Roaring Twenties as I find this era quite fascinating and I have found some interesting facts to do with 1920's which I thought would be great to share and really enjoyed researching in to it.

Mannequins first became popular during this decade as it was a way in which customers could learn how to mix and match their clothes. This also helped the stores as it was a great way for them to market what their shoppers were loving.

Rolled Stockings - Free spirited, fashion conscious women in the 1920's were known as 'flappers' who rolled their stockings below the knee and used garters to help the stockings in place.  By doing this, it was considered as being rebellious to the conservative lifestyle of the earlier decades. Even showing the ankle was considered distasteful

Another accessorize that was worn a lot by women was scarves, they were very popular doing the 1920s. The women would tie them around the head, just above the brow line and would be knotted at either side or the back of the head.

The Cloche hat were very popular for women and were invented in 1908. They were a fitted bell shape hat and the word Cloche means 'bell' in French. The hats were usually made of felt so they conformed to the head and were typically designed to be worn on the forehead.

Never Too Much

I'm starting 2020 with a whole of inspiration, a lot of glam and most importantly a whole lot of my favourite kind of icons and to be quite honest I spent a quite a bit of time yesterday scrolling through Pinterest to find these wonderful photos so thank you! Where do we begin, I wanted to start with a very modern vintage decor photo but still keeping in the retro theme with a record player, a photo of my absolute queen (well one) Debbie Harry aka Blondie and the most perfect side board a girl could ever want/need. I mean honestly I adore that picture! It gives me the most vintage vibes! Next up is a photo that a came across right at the end of my scroll and of course its Beyonce and Jay Z! I don't have a lot to say on this one but I think they are a great couple! Following from that we have my boys or just simply The Beatles when they started out. I couldn't not this post and not have them in it and if you are new to the blog or you didn't know I'm a huge fan of The Beatles!

Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly,
And the spiders from Mars. He played it left hand

But made it too far

Became the special man, then we were Ziggy's band

Can you guess who the next icon is by the lyrics above.. David Bowie! Well, I adore Bowie, I really really do! His style was fabulous, very unique and some may see a little bit odd but shouldn't we all have a our style? Plus I love his songs and one of my favourite is Ziggy Stardust which is where I got these lyrics from and the photo that I found is such an iconic photo if you are a fan of Bowie.

Then we have the most perfect pink bathroom I ever seen!! What do you all think? Are you a fan? Some might say it's too much and others may say we need more pink? Then we have a very chic photo of an old classic film which I haven't seen yet but I really must! Also I'm forever dreaming of owning Chanel Beauty.. then I found a gorgeous photo of my favourite 90s model ever and I probably mention her too much on here and on my instagram is Kate Moss! The next one is such a sophisticated photo with the pretty blouse, all the gold rings which I love, the pearls and the mirror!

Jayne Mansfield, I love her! She is such a beautiful blonde bombshell and I have not featured her on here or my instagram in a very long time and that is the same with Bettie Page who was a 1950's pin up model and she is known for her Bettie Bangs. To finish off is Cilla Black in the 1960s!

New Year, New Goals I Hello 2020.

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating however you spent it! I must say mine wasn't as jazzy others probably was but still, it suited me fine and that's all that matters. A quiet one at home, in front of the TV with all the food you could possible ever imagine (my kind of night) and towards to countdown I watched Jools Holland a bit of Craig David - he's my guilty pleasure and when I was younger I absolutely loved Craig.. honestly who didn't really? I'm automatically ready to start putting all the sparkly, glitz and glamour attire to the back of the wardrobe, and finding myself wanting to plan my goals for the year ahead. I'm all about starting this year with a bang and making the most of ever second starting from today 1st January as every moment is so precious. Today was a glorious day to start the New Year off, chilly but the sunshine was out which made me happy and ended up walking round the Bar Walls in the beautiful city that I call home; York. It was great and even managed to grab a coffee in Carluccio's which was also a bonus.

I do not tend to do New Year Resolutions, I like to make my own personal goals throughout the year as for myself that works better for me. This year I want to improve my content for my blog, I want to start creating ideas for videos for IGTV and YouTube as that is something that I have been thinking about doing since 2019 and now I really want to do it! I also want to start reading more as I always love taking books on holiday and absolutely love it so I'm determined to start very soon.

I found this quote on Pinterest earlier and it made me realise what I want 2020 to be all about and so much more. Life is so precious and I learnt that from my beloved grandparents who I lost in 2016 and 2017, they are my reason for everything I do now and I love and miss them both more than ever. The scariest part is in February, my blog will be 5 years old which is crazy to think about and it is all thanks to GT and GB. As without them, I don't think I would have been so obsessed with vintage, especially Old Hollywood. I also want to get a few photo's of them both in my room, I'm going to start picking out the photos I want and then go and see what frames I can get. I have been wanting to do it for a while but now it is finally the time!
