Another Week In Lockdown And Having Sometime To Myself

Hi all, I hope you are doing well and you have had a good week despite how everything is right now. It is such a strange feeling and even though I'm still working it has been so lovely to have a break! Originally I was supposed to be in Scotland last week till bank holiday Monday but of course it did not happen, instead I decided to keep my holiday and it has been one of the greatest things. Despite not be able to do much I have managed to film a couple of IGTV's and my current one which was a Full Face Of Glossier will be up as you are reading this. The weather has been glorious all week and I have loved being able to wear my own clothes, wear summery outfits and just sit in the garden. I have also enjoyed wearing different make up and just having some time to myself which  has been lovely to say the least.

I have also been reading Normal People and so far I am loving it, I watched the series on BBC I player and really enjoyed it, it was a mixture of emotions I must say but the best thing about reading the book now is I can picture Daisy and Paul who play Marianne and Connell in the TV series as I am reading the book which is great. I can see them act in out and actually picture what they look. Usually I would prefer to the read the book first and then watch the series but with Normal People, I feel like it's easier the other way round. It has also been nice because my family have been at home too but my mum will be back at school next week so that will be interesting.

Something else that has been keeping me entertained this week is Netflix and YouTube, I have been binge watching Next In Fashion and it has been amazing! I would 100% recommend it if you are wanting something easy to watch, I have also started watching Queer Eye which has quite a lot of seasons but wanted to start at the beginning. That is also very good and I believe the new season comes out in June so not long to go at all! I love watching YouTube videos, I love the Saccone-Joly's who do family vlogs, but I also enjoy The Anna Edit and Lily Pebbles who are very much into beauty and fashion, they are very ordinary and just seem really lovely people. Over the last few weeks I have been absolutely loving Megan Ellaby's IGTV videos, she is such a fashion icon in the blogging world and her style is very unique. I saw a dress that she bought from Topshop and had to buy it as I was obsessed and needed it in my wardrobe. It's a perfect summery dress and I even ordered another one like it.

The lockdown period is so strange and it is crazy to think I haven't been into town in nearly 3 months or even get the bus. It will be great when this is over but you really appreciate life and how important things are that we can take for granted.

Sending lots of love to you,

Lottie x

It has been a long time since I have done a blog post dedicated to makeup and skincare but I wanted to create a post which  is all about the new products that I have been ordering online. So I thought I would sit down and fill you in on what my current purchases have been in the last couple of weeks and what my honest opinions were of them.

Charlotte's Tilbury Magic Crystal Elixir is finally here and I was dreaming of buying this product and then I finally plucked up the courage to buy it. Charlotte collaborated with expert scientist to bring us a ground breaking serum for hydrated, youthful looking skin with a magic matrix of ingredients. The serum has golden Vitamin C for a brighter-looking complexion and hydration powerhouse Polyglutamin Acid which is a supercharged skincare ingredient that's over 4X more hydrating than Hyaluronic Acid.

I was very intrigued to buy this product especially after reading how she created the serum and the results looked amazing, the packaging is on another level and this is another reason why people buy Charlotte's products as they are stunning! So far I am loving the serum, it has brightened and hydrated my skin so much, as soon as you apply the product you notice such a glow to your skin. My pores look so much better and my skin looks so healthy and hydrated. The serum is very pricey however I do think it is worth it, I would recommend going onto Charlotte Tilbury's website to have a look at the product information before buying as it tells you all the information you need to know.

Since we have been forced to stay at home at the moment I have been loving watching beauty video's on IGTV whilst I'm not working and I came across a make up product by MAC which I haven't heard before, strobe cream. It really caught my eye and because I am really into glowy makeup I knew I needed to see what this product was all about. I am in love and let me tell you why.. it smooths my skin, it is very hydrating and perfect for a glowy base before you apply your foundation/tinted moisturiser  on. It is very much like a primer and the great thing about is it makes your skin go from being dull to glowy in seconds!

I love Charlotte's Pillow Talk range it is incredible and one of her products which I am just in love with is the beauty light wand highlight which is described as a 'Magical highlighter blush formula which adds a kiss of colour to your checks and plays with the light beautifully for a soft focus beauty glow'. The colour pillow talk original is a very nude pink, I add a little bit to the apple of my cheeks and it makes your skin look glowing and gorgeous!

I did a Charlotte Tilbury delivery a couple of weeks ago, and bought the Airbrush Flawless Foundation and the Airbrush Flawless Finish powder. I have been wanting to try the powder for so long and so far I am loving it! The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, in love with it all! Now the foundation originally came out last summer but I bought the fairest shade that Charlotte does but it was very very white on my skin and I have a neutral skin tone, I matched it online which was hard and I went for shade 2 Cool. On the website you can find your foundation shade by popping it what brand you use and the shade then it will match with the Airbrush Flawless Foundation and it came up with Cool 2. Just to let you know I use the IT Cosmetics CC Cream Fair which is their lightest shade and it works really well for me. I would give this a go as it really does work and even though the Airbrush flawless foundation is matte it doesn't feel and look cakey. I mix with the CC Cream and even the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and it looks great!

Styling A Few Of My Favourite Outfits I LOCKDOWN STYLE I

Hello everyone, how are we all? I hope you are doing well and keeping safe! I honestly cannot believe it is May already.. I had so many plans for this year, so many achievements that I wanted to accomplish however it has all gone out of the window because of the current pandemic but something that I ticked off my goal list for 2020 is making IGTV video's. It must have been a month now, I think it was Easter weekend when I decided to fill a makeup video 'My Everyday Makeup Routine' and I was anxious about uploading it but people seemed to loved it and I had so much fun making it, editing it and adding music to it. Please make sure you go and check it out if you haven't already..

In this post I wanted to show you a few of my favourite lock down outfits I have been loving, during this time I have been working, saving money and buying a few little beauty products but haven't purchased any new clothes recently until I saw the perfect white t shirt. I was after a new t shirt as you cannot go wrong with another white tee, I feel like they are an absolute must in your wardrobe and every girl needs one they are a staple don't you not think? Anyway, I had seen one that I fancied for a while by  Saturday By Megan Ellaby and I'm absolutely obsessed with her brand, just wish they didn't come with a price tag! But they are so worth it, so do you know what happened I ended up scrolling came across Nelly and I was sold. The Nelly Boyfriend Fit T-shirt is the loveliest white shirt, it is over sized and perfect for wearing loose or tucking it. I wore it on Sunday and I had it tucked into my favourite pair of jeans and layered it with another turtle neck blouse from the same brand which I have mentioned on here and my instagram a few times.

I paired it with my a jacket that gives me the most vintage inspiration and it was one from And Other Stories I've had since 2018 but I love it! It is perfect for this kind of look and wore my converse but I would 100% wear this during the day, it's my own smart/casual vibe but still looking classy.

This is another Saturday By Megan Ellaby high neck blouse which is so so retro, it has such a cool pattern and it's called Floyd. Unfortunately it is sold out but I do wish I had bought another one of these as they are a small fit but because I'm tall, it's short in the body and it rises it up which is very annoying but still love it. I love layering this with a white shirt or jumper but today I paired it with my Grease Pink Ladies tshirt from Zara which I am obsessed with it. I'm also wearing some fancy earrings from And Other Stories.

Last up is an absolute favourite of mine, a vintage blouse and my flared jeans. I was actually very lucky to receive a message from Bowler and Betty (was known as Bowler Vintage and still prefer that name) to ask if they would share a photo that I posted on my instagram of their blouse. Of course I was over the moon!!

VE Day 75th Anniversary May Bank Holiday Weekend in Lockdown 2020 I Summer Is Here

We'll meet again,
Don't know where, don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again
Some sunny day.
Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do,
'Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.

I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend celebrating 75th Anniversary of VE day on Friday 8th May 2020. I was so happy to be off as had the most glorious day in the sunshine, we had a street party at 4pm and it was great, we were social distancing but everyone brought their own food and drinks. One of the neighbours did a little quiz, we then came in just before 8pm and then listened to Winston Churchill do his speech and then at 9pm we went outside to sing We'll Meet Again it was wonderful.

Yesterday (Saturday 9th May) it was such a hot day and I decided to wear this gorgeous summer dress from AndOtherStories from SS19 and just paired it with a simple white tee and spent the majority of the day sat in the garden soaking up all the sunshine. On Sunday the weather had completed changed and it was freezing but ended up going for a walk about 10.00am which was nice and had to put hats and coats because it was just so cold but got back just before the rain came. Later on that day I watched the last few episodes of The Handmaid Tale of season 3 and now already for the new season!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend whatever you got up too!
