Each time I sit down to write one of these posts I'm stunned that another month has come to and end, I haven't done a favourites post in a while purely because I didn't have lots to talk about and to be quite honest this month has been pretty much the same. Nevertheless, I wanted to document this as I think it is great to look back what happened and especially how lockdown has relaxed so much yet I'm still dreaming of the day when life will go back to normal. Things will change and 2020 has been a year of learning, educating ourselves and being able to spent more time with our loved ones without being actually able to do a lot. My lockdown experience has been me working non stop, the only time off I've had was May whit week which I had already booked off towards the end of last year as I was supposed to be off to Scotland but ended up taking that week off and I absolutely loved it. It was the best week of doing absolutely nothing but sitting out in the sunshine and going on little walks, I needed that week just to relax and take my mind of work. I even had to work the Easter Bank Holidays but ended up using my holiday to get them back which was lovely and then we didn't have to work the rest of the bank holidays which was incredible. June has flown by even though I haven't really done a lot apart from working all the time, spending my weekend's styling my outfits and purchasing some beauty products but not a lot.

One of the things I have enjoyed this month is re watching Stranger Things the Netflix Series which I absolutely love and I ended up watching it with my parents as they haven't seen it. Even though they weren't too keen on it they do like it and cannot stop watching it. We have just started watching the most current series which came out last July and I do hope series 4 comes out soon, I know they realised the trailer at the beginning of 2020 but without that has been going on, some things have been delayed which is understandable. Something else which I love watching this month is Next in Fashion with Alexa Chung and Tan France, it really is so good and absolutely watching it. Seeing everyone's designs and then their creations right at the end, I hope they do a second series to be honest. My sister also got me into Queer Eye which truly is fabulous, also with Tan France and four other gay guys who make such a super team. I am obsessed and love them all! Something else that I have just started to watch is the very last series of 13 Reasons Why, I really enjoyed watching the first two seasons but don't seem to be feeling it so far with the end one but I'm going to stick it with and I will let you know what I think. Other than that, I have not been watching anything else apart from watching YouTube Videos, I love Anna Newton from The Anna Edit and Lily Pebbles she is great too and are very similar in the content they post. I also love watching the family vloggers The Saccone-Joly's (Anna, Jonathan, their 4 children and 6 dogs) They really do put a smile on my face and so easy to watch as well.

Last weekend I filmed another beauty IGTV, it was a no Foundation, Easy Glowy Makeup look and I absolutely loved creating it. I hadn't done one since I was off at the end of May and it was great. It is so much better when I have time to do it, I find it hard to film video's during the week when I'm working unless it is on a weekend or on a Wednesday afternoon. I suppose I need to make time but at the minute I've been such long full days by the time I get home its 6.30 and all I want to do is have tea, watch some telly and then go to bed. Regards to fashion and beauty it really has been the same things that I have been loving, I have done two blog posts which I talked about exploring my style and styling up a printed t shirt and beauty I have been loving the It Cosmetics CC Cream which I wear every single day, that is my go to product. I love mixing my base products on a weekend and I have been loving the Airbrush Flawless Foundation by Charlotte Tilbury, it is great to wear with the CC cream and it isn't too matte if you mix in it and I also don't put lots on as I love the natural skin look.

I hope you have a good month and hope you have some favourites of your own, I would love to know what they are in the comments.

Hello lovely people, I hope you are keeping well as I write this blog post I have been back at work for 2 weeks now and we already in the second week of June which is so frightening how fast time flies. I should have been going to Scotland when it was May bank holiday (Whit Week) but of course due to Covid-19 that could not happen however I still kept my week off and had the best time just enjoying the gorgeous weather and even got a little tan! This was the week I started feeling very creative with my style and exploring what I have in my wardrobe already as well as getting new purchases. Whilst I was off I was  thinking about doing a gallery wall in my room filled with vinyls - I am excited about that so much! I came across the idea whilst scrolling through Megan Ellaby's home instagram and I thought it was the coolest thing I've ever seen. I absolutely love Megan, she seems such a lovely person and I'm obsessed with her style and just everything about her.

If you haven't read my blog or haven't caught up on my recent posts then you won't know but I have been layering up my clothes, it wasn't something that ever crossed my mind and I really do not know why but it's all thanks to Megan. I started buying a few pieces from her clothing line Saturday By Megan Ellaby only at the beginning of this year and one of them is the gorgeous Ziggy inspired high neck top with all the stars on it and reminds me so much of David Bowie. I love layering it with a t shirt, or even a jumper as well. In these photos above you can see I'm pairing it with shorts and converse as it was warm but definitely not as hot as it has been! I have a jumpsuit that it is on its way from And Other Stories and I will be wearing it underneath that. What I love is all of her clothes are sixties and seventies inspired and that makes my heart very happy indeed, I also love these era's and inspired by so many icons out there and I totally adore anything that has a story to it and that is filled with colour and prints that you can only imagine of wearing. I have always been a fan of Twiggy and Pattie Boyd styles and everything about their look, the make up, the hair, the outfits .. some of them were really out there but that is the reason I love vintage shops and wish we had more in York.

I loved styling this blouse with a pair of shorts as it was so simple but turned out very chic and classy but still giving me those summer vibes especially now as the weather has turned awful and it will not stop raining! I picked the best week off to be honest, this was a very hot day hence wearing my cap but I like it and compared to the day after I did not realise how warm it was going to be and I ended up having to change as it was too hot in a high neck top.

This high neck top is from Saturday By Megan Ellaby but unfortunately it is sold out but I love the pattern, it is very retro indeed and it is something different in my wardrobe which I have never had before. I LOVE finding pieces that are different and quirky.

JEANS - SIMILAR Flared Jeans

The last look is my newest knit and when I bought this jumper I just did not want to wear it on its own. I wanted to layer it or wear it underneath a jumpsuit and when I was looking through my wardrobe I came across this gorgeous pink vintage blouse and I tried it on and I was in love with it. It just adds something else to your outfit and I got the inspiration whilst looking through Megan Ellaby's Instagram! Of course I had to wear my flared jeans which finishes
the whole outfit off. This kind of style I haven’t really explored before but as soon as I saw my vintage blouse I knew it would be perfect.

And there we have the last of my new pieces and exploring my style even more. I love all of these garments and quite a lot of these are very much from the 1960s & 1970s which I adore. I would also love to know which one is your favourite?

Hello there and welcome back to another blog post. I do not think I have ever done a styling post quite like this but recently I have been very much into layering my clothes and I have been absolutely loving it!! Layering my outfits is something that I have never thought however it is the most perfect way to style your clothes and why on earth did I not think of it sooner. At the beginning of this year I started loving Megan Ellaby's style and watched an IGTV she posted on her clothing brand's instagram Saturday By Megan Ellaby' and I was absolutely obsessed with new Saturday pieces and it meant that they had to be an absolute must in my wardrobe and to be quite honest, I am very pleased with all of them.

Last week my Joni T shirt arrived after having my eyes set on it for a few months it was my time to have this gorgeous slim fit Joni Tee in my life. When I bought this t shirt and wore it on Sunday it got me thinking that I wanted to style this baby up and do a blog post around styling up a printed t shirt. I have styled this t shirt three ways and we are going to start with the most simple way but one of the best ways of showcasing the tee. Let me tell you first about Joni, it is a gorgeous pink, red and blue psychedelic wave print T-shirt. It is a slim fit and is made from 100% super soft cotton and has the cutest clam to the back neck and probably the reason why I fell in love with it. You cannot beat a t-shirt that is super soft and has a pretty cool pattern can you? I also wanted to say is that this t-shirt retails from £35.00 which I know what you may be thinking, it is quite pricey however this garment is very good quality and this is why I adore it so much.

T-SHIRT - The Joni Tee

JEANS (SIMILAR) High Rise Jeans

A t-shirt this fancy is perfect for your wardrobe as it gives it a pop of colour that you may be searching for you to complete your look and it is a great staple to have. I also love a good high rise jean with a flare unfortunately And Other Stories do not sell this pair that I have anyone but I found some similar but just a lighter colour which I also really do like. A simple jean and t-shirt combination is a no brainer and you cannot go wrong but to jazz this Joni tee up I paired with a white blouse and I loved it.

BLOUSE (SIMILAR) - Frill Blouse

A blouse is a must in my wardrobe and I honestly wear them all the time, they are great for wearing on their own or layering it with a t-shirt especially one that has a print to it. Last but not least I decided to grab a jumpsuit and wore the Joni tee underneath and just wore my converse and I absolutely loved it. I love jumpsuits and they are so comfy but yet so classy and just go with everything. This one is gorgeous and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and I had to try it out.

This jumpsuit is so flattering and it comes with a belt which is perfect because it has pockets and a pointed collar which I love and buttons at the front. I also love the design as because I'm tall it fits me great in the leg and it looks great with trainers or even heels.

And there we have 3 ways to style the perfect printed t-shirt whether that is wearing it around the house or planning your next outfit when we can finally go outside.

Stay safe everyone and I hope you are keeping well.
