Getting My Mojo Back And Styling Up A New Outfit.

I really hope you are well and looking after yourselves, I'm sorry it's been a while, I've been busy working everyday, feeling absolutely shattered and all I want to do is put Netflix on the telly and try to relax my mind again. I haven't felt so tired in a long time and I've been using my weekends to chill out. My shifts have been all over the place, doing long days and barely having time to breathe so unfortunately my little space on the corner of the internet has taken a step back however I'm determined to start getting back into things and recently I have been loving being creative with my style and I'm excited about my creative content, it brings me a whole lot of joy right now which is why I have been embracing it.

At the beginning of this year, I became utterly obsessed with the fashion blogger, insta queen and Youtuber Megan Ellaby. I watched an IGTV that she posted about her next launch of her collection line and oh my days, I honestly fell in love with it. To the point where I bought two of her pieces which I still love today, over time I've bought a few more of her Saturday pieces infact I am constantly wearing them when I'm not working and I always tag her clothing line in my photos on Instagram. Her brand is called Saturday By Megan Ellaby and I love it to the point where my sister is slightly obsessed too which in my books is always a win?

Now 2 weeks ago last Sunday Megan released 5 more pieces of her new clothing line and I wanted to introduce you too Hazel. She is a slim fit high neck top with the most gorgeous hand drawn leopard print, I love this combination so much, the pink and the red mixed together. The sizing for Saturday is very very slim and the size ranges aren't the best but this top is a size large and it fits great. I loved pairing with these old summer dress from last year from And Other Stories, it is also great just to wear with jeans too. You know the feeling that you get when you put a top on and you generally feel like the coolest person ever.. yes that is me in this outfit. If I saw this in a shop, this would be something I would love to wear, it's different, it's unique and it has such a retro feel to it plus it has so much colour it brightens up you and most importantly your wardrobe.

I love tops like this which are different to what other people have and once they have gone that's it. I love buying anything that has a retro feel it as it makes a top like Hazel feel special. Everyone has their own personal style whatever that may be, being creative with my style is so important to me as it brings out my mojo and my personality.

A Weekly Catch Up I First Time Going Into Town For Tea And Saying Goodbye To Lockdown Hair I LIFESTYLE

Hello, hello, hello, you wonderful lot. I hope you all had a lovely week despite the fact the weather wasn't 100% but I guess you could say that's the British Summer. This week has been a long week and I always look forward to the weekends but they always go too fast especially when you are working non stop, my Grandma and Grandad are always said that weekends were precious and they truly are! Well something rather exciting happened on Saturday I finally said to goodbye to my lockdown hair, you know those split ends and roots that thankfully just blended in to my hair. It had no shape anymore and it was getting on my nerves so most weekends I just tied it up.

Here it is, shorter and blonder and I absolutely love it and loving the curls. I didn't want to go too blonde but this perfect and I know it won't too dry and brassy which is the worst nightmare about colouring your hair but thank you to Charlotte for making my hair look amazing. It was a miserable day on Saturday but I brightened up the day by wearing a new Saturday By Megan Ellaby top this one is called Margot and was released a week last Saturday with the cap a few other gorgeous pieces. I bought all four tops and the caps and are sharing them with my sister as we both loved them it made sense to get them all. So this gorgeous one which is a polo top with embroidered dagger collar and a zip fastening and I'm obsessed with it. Unfortunately it is sold however it has been announced they will be restocking and maybe bringing another out in a different colour and I love the Saturday cap, it is cute and it is the first accessory Megan has done. As you may know I'm a huge Megan Ellaby fan, she is such an icon! This blouse goes to well with the new hair and I'm not going to lie I kinda' felt like a model after I took these and then I realise my camera roll has too many photos but I like a mixture of different outfit photos.

I know quite a few people have gone back to work and I know some people who are still on furlough or perhaps have been working this whole time like myself. Well we are busier than ever, still working from home and lost two members of the reception team and have a new lady who joined us a couple of weeks ago but still recruiting. It is such a strange time and things aren't back to normal at all, although something that I absolutely loved doing was going out for tea on Wednesday with my sister at Marzano's restaurant which is Italian and we both loved it. We had some delicious pizza's and a meat platter to start and we were both so full. It was a busy evening and we were glad we booked at the restaurant and it was great to be able to go out of drinks and food despite everything that is going on. It was a mid week treat and it was truly fabulous.

I hope you have a good week and weekend!

What's Inspiring Me At The Moment

All photos in this blog post are from Pinterest.

Hello you wonderful lot, how are we all? In today's post I'm talking about inspiration that I absolutely love. Back in 2016 I started with a blog series and it was based on 'Style Inspiration' something that I am in love with and now more than ever I spend my days scrolling through Pinterest and it something that makes me feel content and I find it very calming and quite addictive. These photos are very simple, chic and classy and I love them. Lets start at the very beginning as it is a very good place to start, wouldn't you agree? These loafers, they are so gorgeous! I love these kind of shoes, I must say I don't own a pare of a loafers right now, I have funny feet and I have to get shoes that feel comfy as shoes just tend to rub my feet and it is the worst feeling in the world. Now, the next one is perfect if you are wanting to re vamp your home and get ideas and buy things that are similar or even cheaper and one day I would love my own place and the photo is giving me so much vibes, it is so light and fresh.
Self Care is super important and everybody has to look after themselves whether it is the most simple thing and pampering yourself on a weekend or during the week. Putting a face mask on, doing your skincare and getting a bath can me the most perfect thing to chill out and looking after yourself. Everyone's lockdown experience is so different but even though my time was spent working all hours the thing I enjoyed was taking my makeup over a long day at work, doing my skincare routine and watching a Netflix series or listening to music. That helps me chill out and also getting a good night's sleep, sometimes my body is craving an early night and that can make you feel 10 times better in yourself. Even putting a little bit of make up and putting on a nice outfit can also make a world of difference and that is what I love doing on a weekend even though there isn't an awful lot to do.

Alexa Chung is one of my favourite style icons and I absolutely love her. Her style is very unique, very retro and just cool. I recently watched a s show on Netflix (Next In Fashion) which she co stars in with Tan France. I love it and these two together are the best and absolute fashion queens of the world, I hope they do a second series.

This would not be a inspiration post without a beauty flatlay and it pretty much is filled with my favourite products. I am very much into a no make up vibe, I love fresh and natural products and this is why I love Glossier and Milk Makeup and I just find their products great to use and their packaging is just amazing. I'm always dreaming of big mirrors, gold jewellery and buying myself a new Chanel NO5 perfume, they are probably a few of my favourite things.
