Playing With Colour

Hello you lovely bunch, I hope you all are having a wonderful bank holiday weekend! I know I am despite the change in weather. It definitely is a lot colder outside and feels very much how we are in Autumn. Don't know about you but York is feeling so much chiller and we've had lots of rainy days.

Despite it getting nippy I am still enjoying wearing Summer clothes to an extend which in true British fashion can mean layering but who doesn't love layering their clothes? It is one of the greatest things about styling your attire. I absolutely love colour, anything bright makes my heart happy, it just isn't in my DNA to wear black. Wearing colour can lift you so much and can make you feel so much better in yourself, it can boost your mood and you can feel like a new women. I always love seeing bright clothes, I love clashing prints and anything that is quirky and different. This is probably why I love vintage and I am always finding pieces that are unique and make my wardrobe an extra bit special. With this in mind, I recently was scrolling through Instagram and noticed on Saturday By Megan Ellaby that they were adding some new pieces to their collection and I was obsessed when I had a look. I must say half of my wardrobe is filled with Megan's clothes that she has designed but it is okay because they are all different and limited edition. But one of her newest additions was Evie, a gorgeous Rainbow Stripe High Neck top and she is the most prettiest thing garment I have ever seen.

Evie is perfect for adding colour to your look, she is a fab lil piece to have in your wardrobe and I could not resist styling her yesterday when my Saturday order arrived. I paired her up with my favourite red trousers as I wanted to create a really bright colourful outfit but she would look amazing jeans or even underneath a jumpsuit. All Megan's pieces from her brand Saturday are all limited edition, she occasionally will restock an item if they are a best seller/sell out piece but majority of the time once they have gone that's it.

A Photo Diary Of My Trip To Scotland 2020

Over the last few days I have been in Scotland and finally with everything that has happened in 2020 we could finally go! We were supposed to go end of May but due to lockdown we obviously could not. Here are just a few photos from our trip, we visited my Uncle and Auntie who live in Blairmore, Dunoon. The photos in this post are from Blairmore Pier and Lock Eck. We went on Saturday 22nd August and came back on Tuesday 25th August. It was lovely, had a wonderful time and it was so good to get a way!

Pictures From Another Day In The Countryside.

Happy weekend everyone! Here is a little post that brings so much joy to my heart, these photos were taken two Sunday's ago. I love these kind of lifestyle posts just as much as I love sharing with you my outfits as it is a glimpse of my life with my family. Two Sundays ago we booked a table at the Shoulder Of Mutton Pub in the beautiful village of Kirkby Overblow in Harrogate, North Yorkshire as my sister had been and recommended it. She has coeliac disease and has to be very careful with what she eats, she has to have food that doesn't contain gluten as it can make her very poorly, she has been diagnosed with it since 2018 and my grandad also has it. He has had for a few years now and the Shoulder of Mutton pub does really good gluten free food so we booked a table and last Sunday we went for a Sunday roast and it was lovely. It was the first we had been out to a pub since lockdown, we had a lovely table right by the window and we had our own space which was perfect. There was five of us, both my Grandma and Grandad had the soup of the day which was Tomato and Basil Soup which they both loved and my Grandad enjoyed the bread as it was Gluten Free.

Now for the favourite part the Steak, Ale and Mushroom pie - it was divine and I absolutely loved it. It was a really good pie but it was so filling. As for the rest of my family they had a Sunday Roast dinner and to finish off both my mum and I had a fruit crumble. It was a lovely fruit crumble and it was Gluten Free so the topping was oats and honey. It was such a lovely day.

The Check Crop Top

This is probably one of my favourite tops that I ever owned and a piece in my wardrobe which I adore but most importantly is a versatile garment that can be wore for any occasion depending on how you want to style it. The Check Crop top is a very recent item that I have bought and I know it is something that I'm going to look forward wearing next year too, it is perfect for a Spring and Summer and I love the colour. Purple is a colour that I don't have in my wardrobe but it such a pretty colour that is in the shops right now, I absolutely needed it. As you may know I love clothes that are bright and colourful and that catch your eye when you walk into a shop.

I don't usually buy crop tops as I'm not usually a fan of them but it was completely different as I love any tops that have a collared V-neck and have long sleeves and it has gorgeous smocked trim detail which made me want to buy it. Of course due to current circumstances I was not able to try it on but I was so happy with it when I got home and it was perfect to wear on Friday which was the hottest day in the UK.
