Acceptable in the 70's I FASHION

Fashion, turn to the left
Fashion, turn to the right
Ooh fashion
We are the goon squad and we're coming to town
Beep-beep, beep-beep

Hello you lovely lot, today is all about fashion from the 70s and thought it was appropriate to pop in one of my favourite songs from such an icon I had a little boogie in my room to Fashion by David Bowie and it made me feel so excited about creating this little blog post. I have two lots of different kind of 70's outfits I wanted to show you and both have a whole lot of colour, crazy prints and a little bit of glitter but what else would you expect? I must say the 1970's is a style I probably would not have dreamed about wearing but I'm slightly obsessed with cool prints that bring so much joy and colour to your style that these statement pieces were an absolute must from my wardrobe and something that was missing. These clothes may not be for you, but you can definitely get some inspiration from these.

Before I get into the outfits, I just wanted to say that fashion in the seventies was all about individuality, there was no rules in the fashion game. The glam rock and disco styles introduced platform shoes, bright colours, glitter and satin.

Okay let's begin with outfit number one:

First up we have the rainbow stripe high neck top, I absolutely love tops like these at the moment because they are super comfy to wear and look lovely tucked into jeans or for layering underneath. I always get a large in these, just because they are a slim fit and are designed to be figure flattering so would recommend to size up if you prefer a looser fit. Plus because I'm tall I prefer a top that is a slim flit to be longer in the arms and most importantly in the body as I find that it rides up throughout the day and it is very uncomfy. All of these clothes mentioned in today's post are designed by Megan Ellaby, the founder of her brand Saturday By Megan Ellaby

Her clothes are very retro and different to what you get on the high street, I'm really into stripes and clashing prints at the moment, just something exciting about them which makes my heart happy. I had bought the Saturday Graphie T-shirt that Megan had designed to go with the rainbow strip, I saw it on the website and wasn't so sure about that, I think it was because it was a dark colour but in the end I bought it and I could not be happier with it! It is perfect and it is ever so vintage inspired..

It is a boyfriend fit T-shirt with a washed black cotton, I love relaxed fit's like this as they are so soft to wear and they are even cuter when they have a multi-coloured glitter Saturday graphic on! I must say when it arrived last week, I was so happy with it. I tried it on and I loved it and the best feeling is when you try clothes on which you just love.

Outfit number two:

Last up is outfit number two which pretty much features the colours green and pink, pink and green whatever you want to say! Anyway like the first outfit, I am obsessed and two pieces which are great for layering underneath or wearing alone. Both have the coolest retro prints you ever did see and the reason I had to get them! I know they may not be to everyone's taste but I really like them and sometimes you need to add something different to your wardrobe, it could be that it is crying out for a bit of colour and possibly a fab print whether that is a leopard print or a flower mofit print which just gives me so much vibes.

All of these outfits are great for all seasons and I'm excited to start wearing them under jumpsuits especially as the weather is changing, Although as I'm writing this post in the UK we have just experienced an unexpected heatwave which was magical!
